That Time We Went to Hawaii

One of the best parts about going to my sister’s wedding in Hawaii was that it was not a destination wedding. This is where she has lived for almost 6 years now and may never leave. I am beyond proud of the girl I grew up beside, who has always perfectly balanced being one of the sweetest caring people I’ve ever known while also being one of the silliest punks to ever give everyone a hard time. To cut to the chase, here is what Vanita and I saw, ate, and did while we were there. It did my heart too much good to be around my family for a week. Hawaii is awesome. You should go.

Side note: The drone you see us flying is my cousin’s Inspire2, but the footage is from my Mavic because I’m impatient and didn’t want to wait for him to upload it. I will share the footage from our co-piloted flight soon.

That Time I Went to Oregon

About halfway through making this video about my time working and visiting family in Oregon, I realized how much I desperately needed this. To make something for nothing more than fun, to use just an iphone and a drone and not sweat about trying to get it to look like whatever Lubezki cinematography we’re all ripping off right now, and to take a page out of my friend Ali Edwards' book and tried not to try so hard, but find the feel and story in the week as it was happening. I missed Vanita, Mowgli, and home terribly, but I am so glad I got some adventure time in and got to share a little bit of it with you through this.

That Time We Went to Kolkata

This time last week, Vanita and I were clear on the other side of the planet. Actually, we were just about to begin what would be a 36 hour trek home.

It's been very difficult to figure out how to answer the question, "How was your India trip?" So as I figure it out, here's a video (shot it on the best camera, the ones we had with us (our iPhones)) chronicling our adventure to Kolkata.
