A Poorly Written Bio…
The number one piece of advice and feedback I get on my writing is to throw out the first paragraph. So I went ahead and did so here. You’re not missing much, just some info about where I grew up and how Babe is one of my favorite movies of all time. I’ll try to get to the meat of what you should know…I’m also going to awkwardly write in the third person so I feel like I’m writing about someone else.
Joe Gomez is a filmmaker and writer who has traveled the world making documentaries, short films, and commercial work. He deeply values the people in front of and behind the camera as well as the things that they value and believes it’s that magic in between that anything worth making comes from.
His films have premiered and competed at several festivals and and various outlets. His most recent project is a documentary following the musicians Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra and will gladly talk your ear off about it.
Joe was recently chosen for the Tennessee Arts Commission 2024 Individual Artist Fellowship.
He now realizes that he should've thrown out the first paragraph of this as well.
